Association History

Korea accepted a number of migrants from the major countries in North-east Asia. So under the assumption that we take the initiative in forming a North-east Asian cultural community through them, We constructed a research network with North-east Asian’s countries for the private academic research. And for the purpose of providing nourishment for North-east Asian cultural research, We have held international academic conference twice a year. Starting with ‘Korea-Japan Cultural Exchange Seminar’ in 1998, we actively have participated in Korea-Japan exchange. For example, we made a study report in the symposium on ‘the centennial celebration of the opening of Tsushima Izuhara’ in november 1999. ‘The Association of North-east Asian Cultures’ established officially in the late 2000s held the first academic convention, and since then we have continuatively carried out the work twice a year that analyzes and reviews the actual situation and prospect of a Northeast-Asian community.
